About the Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups of dates
2 cups of buckwheat flour (or flour of choice)
2 heaping tbs of peanut butter
2 tbs of ground flax seed
2 cups of pumpkin seeds
1/4 c peanuts
1 tbs of cinnamon
3 tbs of maple syrup
2 cups of chocolate of choice
Preparation
Step 1
Set aside 2 cups of dates in a bowl and cover with hot water for 10-15 mins
Step 2
add pumpkin seeds, flax, cinnamon & peanuts in a food processor and pulse until combined then add flour and mix until combined
Step 3
remove the water from your dates and add dates into food processor with peanut butter and maple syrup & press into a square pan (8x8) until flat
Step 4
Combine chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and melt 30 second intervals stirring in between. Option to double boil on the stove top with a glass bowl. Pour the chocolate on top of the date layer and spread evenly. sprinkle nuts, rose pedals, coconut flakes, sea salt or your choice of topping and set in the fridge until chocolate has hardened.
to cut allow for 10 minutes for chocolate to soften before cutting otherwise it might break!
